Don't let acne ruin your summer adventures!
Did you know the more time spent outside in the sun and in hot temperatures can cause acne? With all the heat, water, sweat, and oils its no surprise that acne is starting to form underneath your skin. But did you know that blue light therapy (like the Baby Blue) can help prevent acne before it starts! This is true, the Baby Blue light works by killing acne-causing bacteria. The
bacteria releases small molecules called porphyrins. When porphyrins
are exposed to the Baby Blue's wavelengths of natural light, they
produce free radicals that kill the bacteria. Don't wait for acne to start in order to take action, prevent with using your blue light therapy! Want a Baby Blue? We are running a contest with Skincare RX right now! Come by our Facebook page to find out the details!

The truth about acne
The truth about acne
Did you know that acne is an infection of the skin? It's caused by changes in the sebaceous (oil) glands due to an increase in testosterone experienced at the on-start of puberty (by both males & females). The most common form of acne is called acne vulgaris. Oils from the glands combine with dead skin cells to block hair follicles. Under the blocked pore, propionibacterium acnes bacteria can grow very quickly resulting in pimples, pustules, redness (inflammation), blackheads, and uneven skin texture. The psychological effect of this skin reaction is often low self-esteem or even depression.

Dry skin with my Quasar MD Plus?
Thank you everyone for reaching out to us, we have been getting a lot of great questions recently! We thought that we would share this particular one.
" I have noticed that my skin has been getting really dry lately. Is this normal? am i doing something wrong? Any insight that you may have on this situation would be greatly appreciated. I love my Quasar MD!"
First of all, thank you for reaching out to us! Secondly dry skin is not normal.
The Quasar MD PLUS is cleared for treating up to five days per week. Too much treatment, however, can result in dry skin. If this occurs, stop treatments for one week and then treat less frequently.
Treat at least once or twice weekly for the first 8 weeks. After 8 weeks of treatment, start a maintenance program and treat once weekly or as needed to keep the benefits.

Body Acne and the Quasar MD Blue
Did you know that facial and body acne have similar symptoms and its
treatments. Unfortunately facial acne suffers are more likely to develop body acne as well. Body acne can be more difficult to treat due to the
skin being thicker and is commonly
found on the back, chest, and neck. What exactly is acne? Acne is an infection of the skin, caused by changes in the sebaceous
(oil) glands due to an increase in testosterone. Oils from the glands combine with dead
skin cells and block hair follicles. Under the blocked pore, propionibacterium acne bacteria can grow very quickly resulting in
pimples, pustules, redness (inflammation), blackheads, and uneven skin
texture. The psychological effect of facial and body acne often cause low self-esteem or even depression. Don't let this happen to you, our Baby Blue or the Quasar MD Blue device can help! Whether you have acne on your face, back, arms, chest or neck, it doesn't matter our blue light therapy devices can help clear your acne right up!

Bobby's week 3 Review!
Could this weather be any better right now!
Sunny, warm, and a great breeze what a perfect spring weather to
continue to have great skin routines. And that all begins with my Baby
Quasar that I continue to use daily to keep my skin even
more radiant then before. As I mentioned last time I have been using the
cover on my Baby Quasar because of having sensitive skin but I decided
this week to try and use it without the cover. Surprisingly I found my
skin to absorb the benefits of this product
even better then my old routine. For this time I actually did not
complete a full eighteen minutes rather I cut it back to twelve and
focused on key areas of my face including near the eyes, forehead, and
my T-zone. Because of this change I found my skin to
have even better benefits of the stimulating collagen process along with
my pore shrinkage also minimizing as well. That’s the great thing about
this product it almost becomes universal because of the many different
facets you are able to have with it and how
it can benefit in so many different ways. After I complete my daily
ritual, and yes I call it a ritual, to keep this skin looking good I
have to apply my serum as this just makes me feel brighter and more
youthful looking when I walk out and let’s face it who
doesn’t like looking younger these days. Now that this weather is
finally taking a turn for the good I have to also keep a great SPF on
the skin daily to protect the work the Baby Quasar continues to give me.
The best part is now I am getting so many complements
when I go out and it gives me a boost of confidence that a product like
this is sitting on my bathroom counter. It also has empowered me to talk
it up to many of my coworkers and friends about my daily ritual to keep
my skin looking flawless and fabulous. So
here is to another week of great looking skin, lets see what one more
week can do. Best of luck to you new users I am telling you this was
made for us beauty folk.
